Payroll & Benefits Manager

The Payroll & Benefits Manager has an exciting role at iPic, as they are responsible for overseeing the day to day payroll and benefit management as well as the payroll processing for all our locations.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible to manage bi-weekly payroll for all salaried and hourly team members including oversight of vacation/time-off, accrued wages, service charges, tips and incentives.  
  • Interface with Field Management to ensure data accuracy, provide timely, constructive feedback when errors occur.  Oversee training for new Site Admins and recommend training topics to upskill incumbents and improve processes.
  • Identify process improvements to simplify and automate payroll and benefit activities in growing company; maintain close relationship with vendors to optimize system features.
  • Maintain records and compile reports; oversee audits and compliance.  Identify payroll/labor cost trends and bring operational issues to HR leadership with recommended solutions.
  • Liaise with Federal, State, and local jurisdictions and ADP to handle tax and payroll inquiries. Partner with HR Compliance team to plan for and respond to changes in state/local laws regarding payroll and benefits initiatives.
  • Manage personnel activities including ADP vendor relationship, unemployment claims, garnishments, and other pay-related activities.
  • Oversee ACA Compliance and benefits enrollment for eligible participants and life-qualifying events. Manage Cobra administration for all hourly and salaried staff.
  • Research Benefit utilization and other information in preparation for annual enrollment period.  Manage the Open Enrollment with Benefits Broker, including staff communications, budget implications and collateral for eligible participants.
  • Compile data and information as requested by Operations, Finance, Legal and other Home Office departments.

 

 

Experience & Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have experience within the Payroll/Human Resources field, including:

 

  • 5+ years’ experience in a payroll/HR environment; ADP Experience required, specifically with Workforce Now product.
  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree is required. CPP a plus
  • Experience processing payroll for 2,000-3,000 employees; multi-state sites.
  • Experience processing restaurant payroll, including tips and service charges.
  • Strong knowledge of wage and hour, benefits, and other personnel laws.
  • Experience with ADP Aline Pay card, Self-Service, standard and customized reporting.
  • Ability to multi-task with strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
  • Handle confidential information in accordance with company policies; ensure documents and personnel matters are maintained appropriately.
