Shift Supervisor

The Shift Supervisor will assist the Management Team in leading the operations of the location and a team of hourly staff. Supervisor positions in the theater and restaurant are responsible for all functions of the food and beverage operations including opening, mid or closing shifts. Supervisors focus on Guest Experience, People Development, and Systems/Consistency during each assigned shift. This is an non-exempt position.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work with Management Team to support an environment committed to outstanding Guest Experiences.  Oversee guest relations, resolve guest issues, and recognize staff for outstanding service delivery.
  • Has responsibility to deliver an exceptional guest experience in all areas of the theater, lounge and/or restaurant.
  • Coordinates the planning, organizing, training and leadership necessary to achieve objectives in employee retention, food quality, and guest services.
  • Supervise each shift with comprehensive, detailed approach to safety, building maintenance, repairs, and sanitation/cleanliness.
  • Maintain a supportive, team environment with strong collaboration focused on guest experiences and genuine hospitality.
  • Maintain compliance on all iPic programs and processes as directed by Management Team.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 1 year of experience in large, complex operations with strong focus on food and beverage program, hospitality, and brand management.
  • Track record of success with bias for action, high energy level and desire to succeed. 
  • Qualified to manage multiple priorities to achieve expected outcomes at the site level while maintaining focus on guest and staff relations, and facilities management. 
  • Must enjoy and be able to succeed in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, preferably on nights and weekends.
  • Knowledge of systems i.e. Vista, Hot Schedules, etc. is a plus.

Leadership Requirements:

  • Serve as a role model in motivating and developing staff.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, solid executive presence, self-confidence, and professional maturity. 
  • Equally comfortable communicating and working with guests, other supervisors, managers, peers, and subordinates.
  • Ability to effectively delegate and follow up with staff members.
  • Good listener, patient in stressful situations and genuine in desire to resolve issues.
