Event Sales Assistant

Event Sales Assistants have an exciting role at iPic, as they are responsible for assisting the Even Sales Managers with generating event sales, building guest relationships, and coordinating all iPic’s Banquet Events Orders (BEO’s). 


Key Accountabilities:


  • Assist Event Sales Manager with defining the client’s vision and needs, to generate positive results for all events.
  • Coordinate with necessary departments (Culinary and Operations) and review the details of the Banquet Event Orders with the Event Sales Manager to ensure the event will be executed as the guest has agreed upon. 
  • Assist Event Sales Manager with obtaining all specifications and appropriate information concerning the event, including number attending, schedule of event, menu, etc. Collect deposits as required at least 14 days before the event.  
  • Actively assist Event Sales Manager with seeking new clients and maintain working relationships.
  • Assist with updating all local social media postings for upcoming events.
  • Maintain the Event Sales Mangers organizational system to keep track of events.
  • Keep accurate records of the deposit schedule and make the appropriate adjustment to ensure it balances weekly. 


Experience & Qualifications:

  • Pursing a Degree in Marketing or Business Administration; experience in event planning or conference management is preferred.
  • At least 1-2 years in a similar position. Experience in the hospitality industry and/or sales background is preferred.
  • Creative individual with a passion for event management and sales, hospitality and guest service skills.
  • Maintains organization, ability to multitask, and deadline oriented. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, self-confidence, and professional maturity.
  • Solid judgment, decision making, problem solving and conflict resolution skills with guests.
  • Confident while working independently during smaller events.


Leadership Requirements:

  • ​ Delivering innovative hospitality and memorable experiences for our guests; brainstorming and communicating with guests and staff, to execute all their event’s desires, to exceed their expectations.
  • Working closely with Guest service team to ensure that all potential clients are provided with the correct and adequate information when inquiring about an event when the Event Sales Manager is unavailable.
  • Understand the site goals for financial, hospitality and people measures; meet or exceed sales goals on a monthly basis.
